The Confederation of African Football has opened an investigation into alleged misconduct during quarter-final matches at the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025.
CAF says it has reviewed match reports and video evidence related to incidents involving players and officials during the games between Cameroon and Morocco, and Algeria and Nigeria.
The matters have been referred to CAF’s Disciplinary Board, with appropriate action to be taken if any individuals are found guilty.
CAF is also reviewing footage of alleged misconduct by members of the media in the mixed zone.
In a statement, CAF strongly condemned any inappropriate behaviour, particularly actions targeting match officials or organizers, and warned that sanctions will follow any breaches of professional conduct.
