Days after declaring the All progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu as the winner of the February 25th election, a pro-human rights activists group, Centre for Accountability and Inclusive Development, CAID, is asking the independent National electoral commission to review the collated results from the Saturday’s polls towards achieving transparency and justice.
The group gives the recommendation at a media briefing in Abuja to give reports on the outcome of the elections.
CAID calls for unbundling of INEC around material and staff logistics to provide an improved smooth process of kits and sensitive materials distributed across the country.

It says there is a need for INEC to intensify efforts around voter education in collaboration with Civil society organizations, CSOs, media, and political parties in order to reduce the incidence of invalid or rejected votes as The number of invalid/rejected votes in the presidential election alone is close to 1 million.
