The Akwa Ibom State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, CAN, has passed a vote of confidence on Governor Udom Emmanuel for his outstanding leadership in the state.
Making the declaration during its breakfast meeting in Uyo, CAN also asked the Governor to provide a responsible, God-fearing Christian, as his successor in 2023.

State CAN Chairman, Ndueso Ekwere, added that a God-fearing successor will preserve Governor Emmanuel’s good legacies.
Responding to the vote of confidence, Governor Emmanuel stated that the election of his successor in 2023 is not in his hands.
The breakfast meeting with the theme ‘Legacy’ had in attendance the five blocks of CAN in the State.
