The newly constituted caretaker committee of the All progressives congress in Benue state, has taken over reigns of power at the party secratrariat in Makurdi the State capital.

The seven man caretaker committee headed by Benjamin Omale unified loyalist of both the Governor and the secretary to the government of the federation.

It was a beehive of activity at the Makurdi Toll gate Thursday night as members of the All Progressives Congress in Benue unite to welcome the newly constituted 7 member caretaker committee headed by Benjamin Omale.

They proceeded to the factional office where they received briefings and were presented as the party’s new administrators in the State.

Chief of staff to the Governor Paul Biam then announces the closure of the factional office and resumption of activities at the party’s main secretariat.

They then proceeded to the main secretariat with a promise to fix the road leading to it in 4 days.

While the coming of the caretaker committee seems to be welcomed with open arms, there is still a controversy regarding a violation of a court order restraining the leadership of the party from dissolving the Austin Agada led State working committee.
