Champions League Draw: Man City Play FC Copenhagen While Arsenal Face Porto

The UEFA Champions League round of 16 draw was held on Monday with exciting pairings as teams finalize their fight for the knockout stages.

Defending champions, Manchester City will play FC Copenhagen in the Champions League last 16, while Arsenal will take on Porto.

After finishing top of both their respective groups, City will travel to Denmark and the Gunners will make the trip to Portugal for the first legs in February.

They are the only two British sides involved in the knockout rounds after Manchester United, Newcastle and Celtic exited at the group stage.

Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich will face Lazio, while Real Madrid the record 14-time winners have been drawn against RB Leipzig.

Real’s city rivals Atletico Madrid will take on last season’s runners-up Inter Milan, while Spanish champions Barcelona were handed a tough assignment against Serie A winners Napoli.

Paris Saint-Germain will play Real Sociedad and Borussia Dortmund face PSV Eindhoven.

Once the round of 16 has been concluded, the draws for the Champions League quarter-finals and semi-finals will be done together on Friday, March 15.

The quarter-finals will take place on April 9/10 and April 16/17, with the semi-finals being played on April 30/May 1 and May 7/8.

The final of this season’s competition takes place at Wembley on Saturday, June 1.

February 20: Inter Milan vs Atletico Madrid, PSV Eindhoven vs Borussia Dortmund

March 5: Real Sociedad vs PSG, Bayern Munich vs Lazio

March 6: Man City vs FC Copenhagen, Real Madrid vs RB Leipzig

March 12: Arsenal vs FC Porto, Barcelona vs Napoli

March 13: Atletico Madrid vs Inter Milan, Borussia Dortmund vs PSV Eindhoven

The draw for the Europa League knockout round play-offs also took place on Monday, with the eight runners-up from the Europa League group stage being drawn against the eight third-placed teams from the Champions League group stage.

Lens vs Freiburg
Young Boys vs Sporting
Benfica vs Toulouse
Sporting Braga vs Qarabag
Galatasaray vs Sparta Prague
Shakhtar Donetsk vs Marseille
The first legs are scheduled for February 15, with the second legs a week later on February 22.

Brighton, Liverpool, Rangers and West Ham won their respective Europa League groups so have already qualified for the last 16.

Those four British teams – along with Atalanta, Bayer Leverkusen, Villarreal and Slavia Prague – will find out their last-16 opponents on February 23.

West Ham, Liverpool and Brighton have already qualified for the last 16 of the Europa League.

Europa Conference League play-off draw. In the Europa Conference League knockout round play-offs, the eight runners-up from the Europa Conference League group stage were drawn against the eight third-placed teams from the Europa League group stage.

Servette vs Ludogorets
Union SG vs Eintracht Frankfurt
Real Betis vs Dinamo Zagreb
Olympiakos vs Ferencvaros
Ajax vs Bodo/Glimt
Molde vs Legia
Maccabi Haifa vs Gent
The first legs are scheduled for February 15, with the second legs a week later on February 22.

Aston Villa have already qualified for the Europa Conference League last 16 as group winners.

Villa – along with Lille, Maccabi Tel Aviv, FC Viktoria Plzen, Club Brugge, Fiorentina, PAOK Salonika and Fenerbahce – will find out their last-16 opponents on February 23.
