Chief Of Air Staff Abubakar Visits Maritime Group Benin, Unveils Project

The Chief of Air Staff CAS, Air Marshal Bala Abubakar, has reaffirmed the commitment of the Nigerian Airforce to operational excellence and security of the nation.

Apart from assessing the operational readiness of the 107 maritime group of the Nigerian Air Force in Benin, his visit was to carry out its established mandate also to unveil some projects that have direct bearing on the morale, welfare and wellbeing of the unit.

Chief Of the Air Staff marshal Bala Abubakar on an operational visit to Edo state arrived the 107 Air Maritime Group of the Nigeria Airforce Benin to a waiting guard of honour.

He emphasized the commitment of the Nigerian Air Force to tackling various Internal Security challenges in the Country, including oil theft and pipeline vandalism just as he commended personnel at the Air maritime Group in meeting up with its mandate of protecting critical assets of government and securing the maritime environment

Noting the importance of personnel welfare, CAS Abubakar said the construction of an aircraft hanger, office building, a 30 one bedroom accommodation for transiting officers, a gymnasium and a mini armoury will ensure that the personnel would focus on their duties with stability and peace of mind in achieving the mandate of the unit.

Army officers including the Commander 4 bridage Ebenezer Oduyebo, Commander Nigerian Air maritime Group air commodore Eze Onu,branch officers and wives of officers accompanied the CAS on the visit.
