The Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu, has hosted troops of the Forward Operating Base, Udomi in Esan North East Local Government Area of Edo State to an Easter luncheon, in a bid to boost morale and appreciate their service to the nation.
The Army leadership said the gesture reflects its commitment to troops welfare and recognises the sacrifices of personnel serving on the frontline.
Representing the Chief of Army Staff, the Commandant of the Nigerian Army School of Supply and Transport, Major General Adebayo Adegbite, and the General Officer Commanding Two Division, Major General Chinedu Nnebeife delivered their messages to the troops.
Commander of 4 Brigade, Brigadier General Ahmed Balogun, expressed gratitude to the Army leadership for the visit and support to troops on the ground.
Highlights of the event include cultural performances, entertainment, and a shared meal, with attendance by traditional rulers, local government representatives, and other security agencies.
