The Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), Gen. Christopher Musa and the Inspector General of Police Kayode Egbetokun have visited the crisis ridden community of Yelwata town in Guma Local Government Area of Benue, where scores were killed in a coordinated attack at the weekend.
The security heads conveyed the Federal Government’s commitment to ending the senseless killings in not just Benue State but across the entire country.

Chief of defence staff Christopher Musa as well as the inspector General of police Kayode Egbentokun visited the affected community in company of the State Governor Hyacinth Alia to get a first hand assessment and meet with community members.
Earlier the Inspector General Of Police was at the Government house Makurdi where he commiserated with the State Government and the people of the State.
The Chief of defence staff is also scheduled to meet with stakeholders of the State at the Government house later in the day.
