Children’s day: Parents urge govt to invest more in child’s welfare

Parents have urged the Nigerian government to increase investments in the welfare of children to enable them develop optimally.

The coordinator, Nigerian Child Development Project, Oludotun Osunsanya, made the call during an event to mark the children’s day celebration in Abuja

May 27 every year is set aside to celebrate the Nigeria child and for decision makers to brainstorm on ways to improve on the welfare of children in the country.

The children appealed to government and Nigerians to give priority to the education of every child for a better future.

The Theme of the 2022 children’s day is, “Investing in Our Children Means Investing in Our Future”
