The Chinese Ambassador to Nigeria, Cui Jianchun, says China has achieved great success by lifting over 700 million people from extreme poverty across China.
The Ambassador said this during an event in Abuja to mark the 74th independence anniversary of the People’s Republic of China this Sunday.
The Chinese Ambassador said the past 74 years under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC), China has economically, politically, socially, culturally and diplomatically achieved a great success.
He noted that the biggest achievement is lifting over 700 million people out of extreme poverty and contributing 70 per cent to lifting people out of extreme poverty all over the world.
The Chinese envoy says the secret of China’s success is that it has built a political system suitable for the Chinese people.
