The Adamawa State Primary Healthcare Development Agency says cholera is taking a toll on the state as twenty persons have died since the outbreak of the disease in September.
So far the state has recorded five hundred cases of the disease.
To curb the further spread of the disease in the state, personnel of the Primary Healthcare Development Agency has embarked on a household sensitization on adopting preventive measures.
Audu Ali in Yola North Local Government Area lost three of his children to cholera.

Ali who spoke in Hausa said his children died in two days.
The public has been tasked to prevent the spread of the disease, through adequate environmental and basic hygiene.
Local Government Areas with high cases are Yola North, Girei and Lamurde.
