The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN), for the 19 Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory, Reverend Joseph Hayab, has commended the Nigerian security agencies, for what he described as ‘their continued efforts in combating banditry, insurgency and other forms of criminality, across the country’.
Reverend Hayab gave the commendation during a strategic meeting with the Northern Christian Youth Professionals, (NCYP), in Kaduna.

He urged Nigerians to support the government’s efforts in fighting insecurity, stressing that national development can only thrive, in a safe and stable environment.

The Kaduna State Coordinator of the NCYP, Pastor Yusuf Galama, used the occasion to appeal to the Federal Government, to urgently implement the newly approved National Forest Guard initiative, by President Bola Tinubu, saying the initiative will not only strengthen national security, but also provide meaningful engagement for restive youths

The meeting was convened to develop actionable solutions to the numerous security and socio-economic challenges facing the region, and the nation at large.
