The Katsina State Governor and leader of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in the State, Aminu Masari, has said that Citizens in the State are free to pursue political ambitions towards 2023.

But he warned that the APC will not be fragmented under any guise and urged party members to take the ongoing revalidation and registration seriously.

Masari who addressed the stakeholders in the local dialect, stressed that he will not allow any one’s interest to destroy the party in the state.

He added that, as the 2023 general election draws closer, neither any of his cabinet members, party chieftains nor himself will stand in the way of anyone nursing the ambition of any kind in the state.

The Governor declared that, under his watch, he will not allow a faction of any kind to divide the party, especially now that the party is undergoing revalidation of its members.

He also vowed that the party will not relent to deal with anyone planning to destabilize the party and its constitution, by showing them the way out, no matter how highly placed.

The Governor’s warning was not unconnected with the recent developments in the state, where some notable party members, held different meetings at different locations, including Kano and Kaduna States.

Governor Masari, therefore, urged all party members to join hands to move the party forward, devoid of any rancor and acrimony, so as to retain power in the state in 2023, as well as at the federal level.

The call came as President Muhammadu Buhari, alongside other National party officials, flagged off the revalidation and registration of party members at all levels.
