The Oyo State government has promised to support the crime fighting efforts of the state command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC).
State deputy chief of staff Mojeed Mogbonjubola made the promise when he represented Governor Seyi Makinde at the inauguration of the Female Armed Squad.
He described the creation of the female squad as a development that should bring joy to all concerned.

The State NSCDC deputy commandant, Segun Obafaye who represented the Commander General, lauded the efforts of the training department of the command and urged members of the new female Squad to live up to expectations.
He urged them to handle weapons with serenity to enhance the peace which the command expects from them.
