A coalition of Civil Society Organisations has called on Non-governmental organizations, Humanitarian groups and philanthropists to support Governments at all levels to build a strong campaign awareness on education for children in the internally displaced persons camps in troubled areas across the country.
Speaking at a media briefing in Abuja on the high rate of literacy, human rights activists explain that literacy is crucial for children living in the IDPs’ Camps to build a healthy society in the future.

They express worry over the shutting down of schools in northern states troubled by the deepening insecurity and advise the states and federal government to design another method of learning for school children to learn from their various homes in order not to be left behind in academics.
Over seven human rights groups were in attendance as the Swedish embassy, Key players in tertiary institutions and others join in the campaign awareness on literacy for the IDPs.
