The Coalition of Northern Group, CNG has appealed to State governments troubled by bandits and insurgency to ensure peace and security of the thousands of internally displaced persons and return them to their ancestral homes.
Board of trustee chairman of the Coalition of Northern Groups, CNG, Nastura Shareef who stated this during the handing over of some food items to 5,201 IDPs mainly women and children seeking refugee at the Batsari model primary school in Katsina state expressed satisfaction with the improved security situation in the area.

The CNG Team had sympathised with the victims of the bandits attack and called on them to go back home.
While calling for the cancellation of IDP camps following the increase in rape, drug abuse and other negative influence in camp the CNG reiterated its call for a change of guard among the armed forces by Mr President saying the service chiefs have stayed too long in office hence cannot introduce new ideas in the fight against bandits and insurgents
Members of the group say that the level of insubordination within the Nigerian military circle is also too much.
As a result the Service Chiefs have failed to secure lives and property of Nigerians.

The CNG team had earlier visited the district head of Batsari Tukur Ruma to commiserate with him on the loss of lives and property to bandits in his domain.
The district head had used the occasion to appeal for more support for his people.
