The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Taoreed Lagbaja has commissioned an upgraded medical facility in 401 Special Forces Brigade in Makurdi the Benue State capital.
Lagbaja who inaugurated the facility at Joe Akahan the Military Cantonment said the Makurdi project was used as a model design for the development of its other medical facilities.
Remodeled state of the art medical facility of the 401 special forces brigade in Makurdi Benue State’s administrative capital was officially inaugurated by the Chief of Army Staff Taoreed Lagbaja.
The medical centre which is fully equipped with an intensive care unit which has basic life supporting machines is said to be off the national grid and is operating using a 150KVA solar smart inverter system with back up diesel powered generator.
The Army Chief disclosed other similar interventions which is just part of the Nigerian Army’s numerous efforts to improve the welfare of its personnel and it’s environs.
