COAS Commissions More Projects, Laments Poor State Of Army Barracks Across The Nation

Nigeria's Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant-General Taoreed Lagbaja

The Chief of Army staff Lt General Toareed Lagbaja has lamented over the poor state of housing quarters in Nigerian Army Barracks Nationwide, saying that in the coming months, efforts will be made to renovate and provide new ones.

He made the remark while commissioning projects at the Maxwell Khobe cantonment Rukuba in Plateau state as part of the 2024 Nigerian Army Day celebration.

While commissioning blocks of flats for corporals and below, the chief of army staff Lt General Toareed Lagbaja thanked the families of the men of the Nigerian army for being supportive.

He promised that an upgrade of housing quarters within the barracks across the Nation would be embarked upon as their current state leaves much to be desired.

The Chief of Army staff also inspected other projects such as the 2000-capacity pavilion which will host the NADCEL 2024 parade, and the residential quarters for the RSM amongst others.
