As the national flag across the country fly at half-mast, in honour of the late Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Ibrahim Attahiru and 10 other military officers, Governor Aminu Masari of Katsina State has joined to condole the leadership of the Nigerian military over the unfortunate incident.

In a letter which he signed and addressed to the Chief of Defence Staff, Defence Headquarters, Governor Masari noted that, “the crash which ended the lives of gallant generals and other senior military officers who contributed greatly to address insecurity across the nation is indeed a national tragedy”.
In a statement by his Director-General, Media, Abdu Labaran, the Governor prayed to Allah for the repose of the souls of the deceased.
He also urged their immediate families, the military institution and the nation in general, to take solace in the fact that, the deceased had given a good account of themselves, and made the ultimate sacrifice in
the service of the nation.
