The Chief of Army Staff, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja, has given assurance that the Nigerian Army under his watch will stamp out insecurity in Mangu and other parts of the Plateau.
He said this in Mangu, Plateau State, where he flagged off Operation Hakorin Damisa, to address the prevalent security challenges in the state.
General Lagbaja, after launching the operation, ordered the Special Force to restore peace in the affected areas.

A stakeholder engagement with the Chief of Army Staff was also held at the IDP Camp in Mangu, to chart a new course.


With the flag-off of Operation Hakorin Damisa and the deployment of 300 Special Forces in Mangu, total peace is expected to be achieved in and around the surrounding areas battling insecurity.
