The Chief of Army Staff Lieutenant General Farouq Yahaya has renewed calls for a well coordinated and professional army to meet the task of nation building and stability.
Lieutenant Yahaya, who was represented by the chief of logistics, Army head quarters , at the commissioning of a standard olympic size Swimming pool at the second Division of the Nigerian army cantonment in Ibadan said the structure would aid the training of Army personnel particularly those in the amphibious unit.
The commissioning of the Samuel Odeh swimming pool at the ultra modern stadium of 2nd Div of the Nigerian Army is part of initiatives to tackle security challenges currently facing the country.

The General officer commanding 2nd Div Maj Gen Chibuisi Gold said the designed short Course Olympic standard is vital to the enhancement of personnel fitness .
The Swimming pool is named after RSM Awo Samuel Odeh in acknowledgement of the place of RSM in the Nigerian Army.
