Chief of Army Staff, COAS, Lieutenant-General Waidi Shaibu, on Tuesday visited President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, to brief him on the outcome of his recent visit to the North-East region and review of overall security situation across the country.
Speaking after the meeting, the Army Chief said his discussions with the President focused on the general security situation, which he described as satisfactory within the period under review.
In his words, “I just came to brief Mr. President on the outcome of my visit to the North-East region and to look at other security situations across the country, which have been satisfactory within this period.”
Lieutenant-General Shaibu, who was appointed Chief of Army Staff on October 30, has continued to emphasise professionalism, troops welfare, and strategic collaboration among the security agencies to enhance peace and stability across Nigeria.
