An elevator currently undergoing installation in cocoa house building in Ibadan crashed earlier today, killing one of the engineers installing it while 3 others in the team got injured.
According to the management of the building, Odua Investment ltd through a press release by its Public Relations Officer, PRO, Victor Ayetoro, the elevator suffered a mechanical failure which resulted to the lift car dropping into the basement pit.
According to the release, the 3 injured persons were immediately taken to the hospital and in stable conditions.

The incident was reported at the police station, while the head office of the company handling the project has also been informed.
The company, however, expressed their sympathy with the family of the deceased and promised to foot the medical bills of the injured persons
