Nigeria’s Under-20 Women’s Football Team, the Falconets, will face Australia and Mexico in friendly matches, ahead of the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup.
Falconets coach, Chris Danjuma, disclosed this in an interview.
Danjuma said the team plans to set up a training camp in the middle of next month in Colombia, ahead of the World Cup, which begins on August 31.
“We will train in Colombia for two weeks, before the World Cup kicks off,” he said.
The Falconets invited 32 players to a training camp in Abuja, with the team to present a 21-person final squad for the World Cup.
The Falconets started preparations for the competition in Abuja two weeks ago.
They are drawn with three-time champions Germany, Venezuela and Korea in the first round of the tournament.
