A yet to be identified man who stabbed an official of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA on Sunday has been arrested and would face the consequences of his action in court.
According to the statement released by LASTMA Director, of Public Affairs, Adebayo Taofiq, the driver was arrested for picking passengers indiscriminately on the main road and obstructing free flow of traffic around Costain axis inward Iponrin.
He allegedly made dangerous attempts to escape arrest before he brought out a knife and stabbed the LASTMA officer.

Some dangerous Items like cutlass and knife were said to have been recovered from his vehicle when he was arrested and handed over to the police.

LASMA says the driver will be prosecuted in court to serve as a deterrent to others.
