Commercial Drivers under the ageis of Edo State Drivers Welfare Scheme have endorsed the second term bid of Godwin Obaseki who is contesting under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the forthcoming governorship election.
The Drivers took the decision after an enlarged State Executive meeting which held in Benin City.
The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP in the September 19 governorship election, Godwin Obaseki is receiving more support as the election draws nigh.
The latest endorsement is coming from the Edo State Drivers Welfare Scheme who say the first four years of the Obaseki led administration was favourable to them given the reforms carried out in the transportation sector.

President of the State Drivers Welfare Scheme, Lucky Aideyan took a swipe at some persons said to have endorsed the opposition candidate, claiming to be drivers.
The Drivers were particularly thankful to the Deputy Governor Philip Shaibu and the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie for standing firmly by Obaseki through thick and thin.
