Commercial activities at the popular Iyana Iba axis along the Lagos Badagry expressway came to a halt early Monday as some commercial motorcycle operators known as Okada riders clashed with the union operators in charge of issuing tickets to the Okada riders.
Though normalcy was returned to the restive spots when ait crew visited the Iyana oba and Volkswagen junction axis where seven vehicles were but by the irate okada riders who also inflicted bodily injuries on some unsuspecting members of the public as they burnt vehicles along their path. There was no confirmation of the number of people who may have lost their lives at the time of filing this report.

it took the joint efforts of the military task force team and the Nigeria police force drafted to the area to restore normalcy after several hours of resistance by the angry protesters.
The Nigeria police force Lagos state command through its spokesman Muyiwa Adejobi issued a statement denying the claims in some quarters that the unrest was linked to ethnic clash between Hausas and Yoruba’s in the area.
On the clash between Okada riders and the police at Lekki phase one early Monday, the police authority said several riders were arrested and their bikes confiscated.
