Commonwealth Secretary-General Patricia Scotland has warned Nigerians against yielding to those bent on leading the country into violence during the elections.
Leading a high-level delegation to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama, in Abuja, late Wednesday, Scotland said Nigeria has inspired the rest of the world by its fortitude and resolve to remain on the path of peace.
She expressed confidence in the readiness of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to conduct Saturdays and explained that the Commonwealth delegation is in the country to witness and participate in the celebration of what Nigeria has achieved through the peace commission led by Gen.
