A retired Justice of the Supreme Court, Justice Bode Rhodes-Vivour has called on Chief Judges of various courts to assign cases on same subject matter only to one judge.
Justice Rhodes- Vivour gave the hint at a webinar by the Nigerian Bar Association Section on Public Interest and Development Law.
He said such issue on conflicting orders will be reduced to bearest minimum.
Justice Vivour, however, called on the National Judicial Council to act swiftly to sanction erring judges even as he appeals to the Nigerian Bar Association to make sure that lawyers who aid politicians are promptly disciplined.

Also speaking at the webinar, NBA President Olumide Akpata says the legal profession is threatened by activities of a few lawyers and a few judges, assuring that the association will deal decisively with lawyers found to have done the wrong thing.
Former President of the Nigerian Bar Association and Governor of Ondo State, Olurotimi Akeredolu, said though there is use for exparte order, it has been grossly abused.
He further stated that lawyers have a duty to advise their clients whether their case is frivolous or not.
On their part, former President of the NBA Jospeh Daudu, SAN and Lateff Fagbemi SAN both concurred that the practice of issuing conflicting orders has continued unabated because judges and lawyers who engage in the practice have not been sanctioned.
