The Oje-designate of Ora, Professor Joshua Aisiku has described the chieftaincy title of Oyakire of Ora conferred on the APC Edo Governorship candidate, Osagie Ize-Iyamu as a sham that cannot stand.
The Oje Designate stated this while addressing newsmen in Benin City on the supposed conferment of the chieftaincy title on Ize-Iyamu by some persons in Sabongida-Ora.
Few days ago, news broke of the conferment of a chieftaincy title in Sabongida-Ora on Ize-Iyamu as the Oyakire of Ora. However, Professor Aisiku says the supposed conferment is invalid as it was not done by the approved cultural authority entrusted with such responsibility.

The Oje-designate also alleged that the conferment was done at the residence of one of those said to have carried out the ceremony. Aisiku clarified that he could not have conferred the title on Ize-Iyamu as there was a 2018 court injunction restraining anyone from performing the role of Oje of Ora.
