Adamawa State Government has approved a 50 per cent reduction in the taxes.
Governor Ahmadu Fintiri in a statewide broadcast on Monday said that the government is aware of the impact and the economic implications on the informal businesses, as a result of the Coronavirus pandemic.

The government has also resolved to implement cost-saving measures, such as the review of the current budget by 20 per cent.
With no single confirmed case in Adamawa State, the state government outlined measures to strengthen its readiness.
They include the setting up of a committee responsible for regular briefing and updates on the containment measures which is headed by the Secretary to the State Government, Bashir Ahmad.

Others include the banning of all forms of social, religious, and cultural gatherings that would attract more than fifty people at a time.
To contain the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic, Governor Fintiri said that all training, workshops, seminars, and official trips outside the state, have been suspended for a period of three months.
He also said that the government will not shy away from taking every measure that is in the interest of helping the state progress and save lives.
Governor Fintiri, nonetheless, said that the government may eventually consider a work holiday for all categories of staff, except individuals providing essential services.
