Coronavirus: Nigerians in China laud Buhari over financial support

Following the financial support the Buhari–led Federal Government rendered to Nigerians living in China to tackle the Coronavirus, Nigerians under lockdown in Wuhan and Hubei Province through the Nigerian Students Association in Wuhan (NSAWA), have lauded Muhammadu Buhari.

President Buhari had, last week, financially supported Nigerians in China with 235, 000 RMB as the country fights the pandemic Coronavirus which is better known as COVID–19.

In statement released on Friday by the acting President of the Association, Okoye Chiamaka, Nigerians in China assured President Buhari that the Nigerian community in Hubei would continue to abide by the regulations of the Chinese Authority in protecting “ourselves from the COVID–19 virus.”

Subsequently, the Nigerians in Diaspora Organisation, China chapter, NiDO, also appreciated the Nigerian President for the financial support he rendered to fight the pandemic Coronavirus.

The acting President of NiDO, Justin Ajala,  noted that the financial support was crucial and would go a long way in ameliorating the situation of Nigerians in Wuhan who are at the epidemic centre.

Ajala said: “While we welcome the good news of receding number of deaths and the newer cases of the COVID–19, we will continue to adhere to precautionary measures recommended by the Chinese government to curtail the spread of the virus.”
