Senior Citizens in Cross River State, South-South Nigeria have called on the State Government to consider them in its welfare and palliative scheme to enable them feed themselves and their dependants.
They were speaking during presentation of some food and non-food items to them at the Pope John Paul II Good Samaritan Home in Calabar, the state capital.
They say the call for government’s intervention became necessary due to neglect, even as they appreciated the benevolence of public spirited individual led by Mkpang Coco-Bassey and others, for always using their platforms to assist.
