Presidential Election Petition Tribunal has adjourned to June 2 hearing of petition filed by Allied Peoples’ Movement, APM against INEC, APC and others to avail the petitioner enough time to acquire a certified true copy of the Supreme Court Judgment, delivered on May 26, 2023, which laid to rest the controversies around the double Nomination of Kazeem Shettima.
This followed Submission of Tinubu’s counsel Wole Olanipekun that the petition does not stand as the Supreme Court had laid to rest the sole prayer the Petitioners are asking for, which is also challenging APC’s victory on grounds of using a placeholder, Kabir Masari, for Kashim Shettima.
The Counsel for APM urged the court for an adjourned date, to be able to look into CTC of the document and see how it affects their petition.
