A magistrate court sitting in Ikorodu, Lagos State has granted an order for wife of late singer and songwriter, Ilerioluwa Aloba popularly known as Mohbad, Wunmi Aloba to be served notice of a pending DNA test application by substituted means.

In a statement signed by a member of the legal team to the father of the deceased, Joseph Aloba, the order follows two previous failed attempts to serve court processes on the late musician’s wife.

In the application, father of the deceased, sought the order of the court to serve Wunmi Aloba court papers for the DNA by posting all the originating processes in the suit.

The Aloba family is contesting the paternity of the son of the deceased musician, Liam Aloba prompting an application in the family division of the Ikorodu magistrate court, where it sought an order requesting wife of the late singer to present herself and the baby for a DNA test at any identifiable laboratory in Lagos.

Ilerioluwa Aloba also called Mohbad died on the 12th of September 2023 under controversial circumstances.
A coroner inquest is currently ongoing to ascertain the true circumstances which led to Mohbad’s death.
