A Magistrates Court sitting in Yaba on Wednesday ordered the remand of Azeez Fashola, also known as Naira Marley, Samson Eletu, popularly called Sam Larry, Ogedengbe Fisayo, and Ayobami Sadiq in police custody for twenty-one days.

The remand order follows an application by the police seeking more time to conclude an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of twenty-seven-year-old music artist, Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly called Mohbad.

The legal counsel for the police, Deputy Superintendent Of Police, Umaru Bello, and Assistant Superintendent Of Police, Augustine Nwabuisi, had approached the court seeking an order to remand the suspects for thirty days, to enable them to conclude their investigation into the matter.

Chief Magistrate Adeola Olatubosun, in her ruling, ordered that they be remanded for twenty-one days at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Panti, Yaba, and adjourned the case to the twenty-fifth of October.

The suspects, who are charged with conspiracy and suspected murder, were also granted access to lawyers of their choice by the court.

Meanwhile, the Lagos State Police Command also declared a close friend of the singer, Owodunni Ibrahim, who is also called Primeboy, wanted for failing to honour their invitation since the commencement of an investigation into the circumstances leading to the singer’s death.

The Commissioner of Police, Idowu Owohunwa, equally offered the sum of one million Naira to anyone with useful information that could lead to his arrest.

Ilerioluwa Aloba, Mohbad, died on September 12 under controversial circumstances.
