Peter Nielsen was said to have killed his wife, who is a musician known as Akizee, and his daughter on April 5, 2018 at about 3.45am at their Banana island residence, Ikoyi Lagos.

The Lagos state government had arraigned the 53 year old defendant on June 13th 2018 bordering on murder and punishable under section 223 of the Criminal laws of Lagos which prescribes the death penalty if convicted.

Justice Okikiolu-Ighile in her conclusion over the matter based on the post mortem examination led by professor John Obafunwa on the deceased persons submitted that the bruises found on the neck of Zainab were consistent with blunt trauma adding that the signs of bleeding proved smothering as cause of death.
