Barely 12 hours after the Chairman, Judicial Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Lagos State chapter, Rahman Shobowale, called on members to return to their duty posts, the rest of the leadership on Friday ordered the closure of all court gates across the state.

The order is in compliance with the union’s earlier position for a national strike to press home its demand for financial autonomy.

A visit by AIT to the State High Court, Ikeja showed that early callers at the court including litigants were disappointed as they were denied assess into the court premises.

The usual hustle and bustle around the court was at low ebb; as the strike of judicial workers continue to take its toll.
