Covid-19: Borno Govt says it will not force vaccine on the people

The Borno State Government says, it will not compel anyone to take the AstraZeneca vaccine.

It says, it would rather educate and enlighten the people on the need to take the vaccine which is free of charge.

The Chief of Staff to the Borno State Governor, Professor Isa Marte Hussaini, had on Monday met with religious leaders and briefed them on government’s commitment to protect its citizens against Covid-19.

He asked them to educate and enlighten their followers on the need to protect themselves against Covid-19, by taking the AstraZeneca vaccine.

He further reiterated that covid-19 is real and has killed so many people in the country, including Borno State.

He said the AstraZeneca vaccine is a preventive measure, saying prevention is always better than cure
