All Schools in Cross River State have been directed to resume academic and non-academic activities starting from Monday, January 11 with strict adherence to Covid-19 protocols.
Chairman State Covid-19 Task Force, Betta Edu said this in a statement sent to newsmen in Calabar, the state capital on Sunday.
Edu explained that the State has put all the Covid-19 protocols in place and that school principals in the three senatorial districts of the State have been trained on preventive measures.
She said the monitoring and evaluation team from the Ministry of Health and Covid-19 Taskforce team have looked at the handwashing facilities, thermometres and others requirements to check the spread of the pandemic.
The Chairman who is also the State Commissioner for Health said free face masks and hand sanitisers have been distributed to schools even as she appealed to parents to provide for their children as part of items needed in schools to comply with the Covid-19 prevention protocols.
