The Governor of Ebonyi State, Dave Umahi and some of his aides have tested positive for Covid-19 after their
samples were taken for testing.
Umahi and his affected aides Governor have not shown any symptom of the disease.
They have however embarked on self- isolation in compliance with established containment measures by the Nigeria Centre For Disease Control (NCDC).

The Governor in a statement personally sign by him directed the State Deputy-Governor to takeover the frontline coordination of Covid-19 strategy in the state.
“No regrets as we will never abandon our people at a trying period like now”, he said
Governor Umahi however called on the people of Ebonyi State to remain calm and continue to adhere strictly to NCDC guudelines.
He said in the meantime he will be working from home and all his meetings will be done online.
With this Umahi joins the list of State Governors who have tested positive for Covid-19 in Nigeria.
