Ahead of Monday 5 October schools resumption for all public and private primary and secondary schools in Katsina state, Fumigation of all schools in the State by the State Environmental Protection Agency, SEPA, is in progress.
In a statement by the Public relations officer of the state ministry of education Lawal Salisu, the fumigation exercise is part of the requirements to ensure that all schools are safe and conducive for both staff and students.
According to him, the Schools so far covered are: Family support Schools, Saldefi International Schools, Katsina Teachers College, Government College Day wing and Government College Pilot.
He added that the other teams from SEPA have been mobilised to carry out the exercise in the Schools located in the remaining two senatorial zones of Daura and Funtua of the State.
