Former Military Head of State, General Abdul-Salami Abubakar has called on members of the Niger State House of Assembly to sensitize their constituents on how to curtail the spread of Coronavirus.
General Abdul-Salami Abubakar gave the advice when members of the State Assembly led by the Speaker, Abdullahi Bawa, paid him a courtesy visit in Minna, the State capital.
The former Head Of State called on the lawmakers to cooperate with relevant authorities at all levels to fight the pandemic.

He assured them of his readiness to ensure and sustain the smooth relations between the executive and legislature in order to promote development in Niger State.
The Speaker, Abdullahi Bawa, appreciated the role the elderstatesman has played to ensure peace not only in Niger, but also at global level and called on other leaders in the country to emulate the exemplary leadership qualities of the former military Head of State.
