The Governor of Benue State, Samuel Ortom has embarked on self-isolation despite his test result returning negative for Covid-19.
The Governor said it was still important for him to isolate after his wife, son and some top government officials including his Chief of State and the Head of Civil Service tested positive for the Covid-19.
As a further preventive measure, the State Government House is undergoing serious fumigation.
Ortom however called on other government officials to immediately subject themselves to test to know their status; adding that the State could review its relaxed restriction if the number of cases continue to increase.
