Kano State Ministry of Health has called on residents to adhere strictly to standard protocols of containing the Covid-19 pandemic following a second wave of outbreak in the State.
The State Commissioner for Health, Aminu Ibrahim made the call during a press briefing on the implementation of Integrated Health Program on Friday.
According to the Health Commissioner, the second round of 2020 maternal newborn and child health week will begin from 20th to the 24th December 2020.
Ibrahim said in line with the National Policy, the ministry will begin the second dose of measles vaccination in the State.

He called on residents to continue to observe social distance and use their face mask as a second wave of Covid-19 hits the country.
Ibrahim said over 1360 Service Centres were earmarked for the programme in the State.
Kano State has 195 active cases and recorded 56 deaths since the outbreak of Covid-19 in February.
