Kano State government has reacted to the negative assertion that the Sani Abacha Stadium converted into an isolation center for COVID -19 cases is a hoax that no patient is receiving treatment there.
The state’s Information Commissioner, Muhammad Garba, said the Kano State government takes offence in the unfortunate allegation arguing that the insinuation is designed to rubbish the success recorded so far in the fight against COVID -19 in the state.
Garba insisted that the isolation centre is still work in progress despite the fact that confirmed cases have risen to over 900 in the state.
The reality, however, is that the isolation centre is yet to be put to use and positive cases are on the rise.
Ait.live observed that finishing touches are still being put to the centre.
