The Nigeria Centre For Disease Control, (NCDC) has confirmed 15 new cases of Covid-19 in Plateau State; raising the total number of cases to 50.
The confirmation came via the official Twittter handle of the agency for disease control hours after the Plateau State Governor, Simon Lalong inaugurated Special Committees for Research on Coronavirus and other deadly infectious diseases.
AIT investigation revealed that all the new cases were from Jos North LGA and directly linked to the death of the index case in the state.
The State Commissioner for Health, Nimkong Lar who also confirmed the development to AIT said the 15 new cases were mostly from two families who attended the burial of the index case.
