COVID-19: State Government Steps Up Water Distribution in Calabar Metropolis

Cross River State Government says water is essential as part of measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19, hence the need to step up the distribution strategy, especially within the state capital and it’s environment.

Managing Director of the State Water Board,Effiom Ekpo made this known shortly after the management of the board was Inaugurated in Calabar.

Ekpo who said the turnaround maintenance of the dams will also be done, explained that all broken pipes will be fixed to guarantee portable water for all especially during this period of COVID-19 pandemic. He promises that henceforth, there will be constant water supply in Cross River State.

While Inaugurating the Board,the Commissioner for Water Resources,Goddy Ettah said the expectations of the people from the new management is high.

There has been scarcity of water in Calabar metropolis in the last few weeks ,but the new management promises to address the matter, assuring that all the new equipments will soon hit the ground running.
