After a careful review, the participants noted that much still needs to be done, because the criminal justice system inextricably linked with the security and peace of the country is still witnessing some challenges.

The coordinator of the rule of law development Foundation, Joseph Daodu, and other speakers, said that the federal government has little time to waste on this issue so that the situation do not get out of hand.

The Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, on his part, warned the Federal Government to stop playing politics with the issue of security.

Highlight of the roundtable, was the consensus that the states need to have their own police, as a means of reducing the rate of crimes and criminalities in the Country.
