Two Deputy National Chairmen of the Peoples Democratic are currently laying claim to the seat of the National Chairman of the party.
They are the Deputy Chairman (South) Yemi Akinwonmi and the deputy chairman North Suleiman Nazif.

This development is coming barely 24 hours after a Rivers State High Court issued an interim injunction restraining Uche Secondus from parading himself as the chairman of the party.
Citing section 47 sub section 6 of the PDP constitution as amended in 2017, the Suleiman Nazif led faction has therefore called for a NEC meeting this Friday August 27, 2021
